Madison Young is an international award-winning feminist porn star, director, gallerist, artist, and new mom. She has been directing and performing in erotic films for nearly a decade and has won great acclaim for her video line, Madison Young Productions,  and her network of erotic web sites, the Feminist Porn Network. She has been awarded multiple feminist porn awards including “Indie Porn Pioneer” of the year and has received numerous AVN nominations for her films.  Her films have screened at film festivals through out the States, Europe, and Australia. Young, who has been called a “sex positive Tasmanian devil” values sexual education in her work and has taught workshops, lectures, and acted as a panelist on the topics of sexuality, feminism and pornography, and kink across the around the world including at Yale University and UC Berkeley.  Her professional trajectory spans past performing in over a hundred adult films and directing 26 films for her own production company and includes her contributions to the art world.  Under the name Madison Young, she has handled the artistic curation of over a hundred art exhibitions over the past decade for not only Femina Potens Art Gallery but also The National Queer Arts Festival, SOMARTS, The SF LGBT Center, and the Traveling Erotic Art Show.

Malia Schlaefer
General Manager

Malia Schlaefer‘s professional, artistic and personal interests lie in art, sex, and community. Using her personal experiences as inspiration, she creates photographs addressing contemporary female sexuality
and body image. Malia grew up in the desert in Tucson, Arizona. She attended the University of San Diego, earning her BA in Visual Art, emphasizing in photography and design. She continued her graduate studies in photography at the San Francisco Art Institute. After graduation Malia worked at the David Zapf Art Gallery and annually curated and coordinated “The Open Show”, artwork addressing queer identity issues, for USD’s Social Issues Conference. Utilizing her graphic design, community organizing and gallery experience she has worked with the Femina Potens Art Gallery as the Marketing Director for the past two years. She has shown her work with various galleries in California and Florida. Featured in the SD Weekly, OC Weekly, and Whore! Magazine.

James Mogul
Communications Specialist

James Mogul has been an active member of the BDSM and LGBTQ communities for the past 15 years.  James has led educational bdsm workshops in alternative sex communities at Seattle’s Center for Sex Positive Culture as well the Austin Rope Symposium.
